Counting Sheep Coffee
Who doesn’t appreciate a good cup of coffee after dinner? On a Saturday night when you are getting ready to go out on the town there is nothing better than a little jolt of caffeine. But for the other 6 days of the week that cup of coffee after dinner can lead to a restless sleep and an unproductive day at work or school. Now there is
Counting Sheep Coffee! It’s a great tasting decaf coffee with a bit of valerian root mixed in to help you unwind and to get a great night’s sleep.
We found that it has a mild coffee flavor with just the right amount of bitter taste. The Swiss Water Decaffeination process creates a smooth even without any metallic taste that some decaf coffees have.
I tried the coffee every night for a week. I asked my wife to mix in a traditional decaf and a regular coffee into the mix without telling me. Not a true double blind but close enough to tell if it works. Each of the cups was served as double-double (two Creams and two Sugars for those non-Canadians) to hide the flavor from me.

I found the results to be really amazing. I was able to have a cup of coffee in the evening without needing to worry about a good nights sleep. I have brewed and consumed it black with no sugar and found that it has a nice coffee taste. It is a little more bitter than my regular blend but nothing overpowering.
It will be a regular addition to the grocery basket.
I give it two thumbs up!
