Feel like getting your hands dirty with a new project? Why not jump into the competitive world of Echo Park coffee? You can do just that with
Chango, the longtime Echo Park Avenue corner coffee shop, which according to The Eastsider is now up for sale.
It’s not for lack of business that Chango has hit the market, says co-owner Jenna Turner, who also owns Habitat Coffee in Eagle Rock. Instead, her and longtime partner Marc Gallucci are simply ready to move on from the robust project, and are hoping to bring some hard-earned money out with them.
The shop itself is more than a decade old, which means it predates the current Echo Park coffee craze by at least nine years. It’s still a crucial part of the neighborhood, situated as it is well off the Sunset drag, and Turner says the place hasn’t suffered one bit from the increased competition that’s founds its way in more recently.
The cafe itself is 1,000 square feet and does not come with a sale price on its LoopNet posting, but any incoming buyer would take on the remaining lease for the space, with an option to re-up at the end as well. So if you’re looking to get in now, well, here’s a great chance.
