It's my last morning in Chiang Mai and for once I'm not rushing out for some tour, so I was able to have a nice breakfast at a cafe nearby recommended to me by the hostel staff.
Cafe Arte in Chen Mai Thailand
The place is called Cafe Arte, and its the front part of a gallery/guesthouse. It was really cute, with a simple breakfast menu. I had scrambled eggs and toast with an Americano black. The eggs left something to be desired, but the coffee was good!
Cafe Arte has their own blend of arabica beans grown in the Northern Thai mountain region (apparently most of the beans come from Chiang Rai). It was really aromatic and I was expecting it to be really strong, but the taste was quite light and smooth, with very little bitterness. It did leave a nice aroma in your mouth, but it wasn't especially flavourful. If coffee could be described as sessionable, thats what I would call it. I didnt need sugar or cream and it was easy drinking and aromatic, but it wasn't the most flavourful coffee I've had.
Really nice atmosphere, and im pretty sure fancy drinks came with designs in the foam ;)
