You will be well looked after by our adults who all have special needs and are learning the following skills:

✓ Customer service; learning the importance of politeness and friendly presentation in customer care

✓ Product knowledge, merchandising and sales skills

✓ Daily updating of our chalkboard menu

✓ Stock management and its role in the financial management of the café

✓ Cash reconciliation including training in the use of a cash register

✓ The importance of hygiene and good housekeeping in a working café environment including cleaning

The primary goal for students working in our café is to equip them with all the necessary skills should they wish to follow a career in the food service industry. We strongly believe this program will give them the tools to successfully achieve this.

Please note that our café also caters for larger orders for local businesses and organisations which can be collected from Wayne's cup or delivered, for a small charge.
